My parents are overprotective, help...?

Alright, so I'm not talking about wanting to go to some huge downtown party by myself, I'm talking about wanting to go to my friends house or go for a walk in our backyard. Seriously. I can't even go to any of my friends houses because my parents strongly believe that I will get raped by either my friend or their parents. My parents will not let me do anything by myself, simply because they think that every single woman walking her dog is a rapist. Once, I was allowed to have a friend come to my house, and the outcome was terrible. She had forgotten her coat at our house, and my parents had to wrap it up in 4 plastic bags using gloves. They said her coat could have been infested with ticks, marijuana, or disease. They then returned it to my friend, the bags and all... Do you know how hurt my friend was? My parents are now forcing me to get rid of all of my friends, as they say they will begin to force drugs upon me. I am 14 now, and I feel that I should be allowed some freedom. I've tried talking about this calmly to them, but they always insist that if they let me free, I will quickly turn to drugs, sex, and crime. I don't understand. I am a straight A student, and let me tell you that none of my friends have ever tried to rape or force drugs upon me. What should I do? I really don't want to lose my friends. Either he or the owner should clean the place, repair dangerous faults, and get rid of the vermin. If neither will take responsibility, contact your local health department. If nothing's done after that you're going to have to move, foot the bill, and sue for your money back plus damages.

I recently had a beautiful black lab who had become infested with fleas. I couldn't ever get rid of them and I had tried frontline and everything. I came to the conclusion that I had to give my dog up to someone who could help him, I did not want to see him suffer. Not to mention my poor son was getting eaten alive by fleas. I thought the fleas would die down after our dog was gone but there are still here. My dog is sick and I am really worried?

Over the course of three days, my 1 year old toy poodle has been vomiting,won't eat, and he hasn't pooped either. We took him to a vet today and they had an x-ray done and said that his stomach is full and there is probably something cloth inside that wont digest. We are not picky ppl, but yesterday we decided to go to myrtle beach (first time) and stayed at this motel near the beach. We didnt have much time to look around for motels and most of them were booked. They charged us 145 for one night. Which is quite pricey for the condition these hotel rooms were. The room was dirty and the restroom was full of hair. It smelled like smoke and mold, very unsanitary. After a long walk in the beach we go back to the hotel and sleep. Two hours later i wake up scratching my back my arms my face so i wonder why am i so itchy. I turn the light on and look under my pillow theres bed bugs everywhere! Big small some redish color from all the blood they had they had a feast with us! We got our money back and left the hotel rifht there and then. The owner wanted to give us another room but we said no. So now we have all these rashes and its just gross to know that other ppl were bit by thosr samr bugs and now they bit us. So my question is can i gain something from this i want to file a lawsuit against these ppl. At least to get them to change the mattresses they looked like they got them from the dumpsters. I took my friend to pick up her two sons from their home in Miami, AZ last week and they were to all stay with me while she was in town. She used to live in temp, AZ up the street from me until she received her 5th or 6th notice from CPS and they said they were going to take her kids away. Her sons went to live in Miami, AZ with their dad and she took herself and her other 3 kids to Oregon where they reside now. At her sons fathers house it was beyond a mess. There was enough trash and who knows what else under it all over the house. The father was at work but his roommate was there and he appeared to be a heavy meth/heroin user, and in the kids bedroom almost directly above their bed was a huge hole in the ceiling and there appeared to be a lot of mold forming. It also appeared that just a few good hours of rain would cave the rest of it in. I strongly advised her to take them to Oregon with her if the father would not improve their environment. She got really mad and as much as i hate to say this about my friend of 13yrs, she is not very fit herself. I have watched and participated in all 5 of her kid’s lives. I have also provided diapers groceries ect. whenever i could to help them. I love these boys and the others as if they were my own. She cannot take them to Oregon because the boyfriend and his mother do not want them there. I was going to look into trying to take custody as a non-parent but I myself am not completely financially stable enough to do so. I do not want to see them being shuffled around in foster care but at this point it may be the safest option considering what they are dealing with now. Their father does smoke a lot of marijuana and I'm not sure of anything else. However, these are really good wonderful children and the only issue with them is the oldest. The younger one qualifies as a genius and everyone raves about it so the older boy feels inadequate and has emotional and anger issues. I want to help them but I'm not sure if CPS is the right way to do so. Can someone please offer me some advice as to any other options available to ensure they are safe and more loved than they are now?

yeah this is going to be one bad year for fleas for sure. I would think any product containing deet should repel them. If you have any off or such product in the house maybe? I have used Avon skin so soft to repel mosquitoes if you have some it couldn't hurt to see if it works on the fleas. Recommend you consider getting both the cat and dog on a regime of product like advantage or front line. The baths will kill what is on them but they will shortly come back. The advantage, frontline products are much more effective in keeping them away. I am sure you would rather not go for round 2 of this. I don't think there really is any effective ready at home remedy.

Our Dog is vomiting and not eating. What can be wrong?

Our dog started vomiting clear fluid 5 days ago and will not eat or drink anything. We took him to a vet who gave him anti vomiting pills and IV Fluid for dehydration and sent him home. He has progressively gotten worse. He is currently at the vet getting IV Hydration and anti-vomiting medication. All labs were normal except the sodium and potassium which were low due to the dehydration. X-rays were taken and normal. No Pancreatitis. They are going to perform a Barium Swallow today. Normally, he is a very active dog but now seems to be getting increasingly worse. He lays in the Vet cage and just opens his eyes when called but will not even get up. The Vet said if the barium swallow doesn't show anything then she doesn't know what else to do but keep him hydrated and treat the symptoms. I need advise. Any Vets out there? And 76 is fine for Cardinal tetra's but I would bump it up to 78. The plants aren't going to die because of two degrees but the fish will be happier for it. 2 weeks without the fish in the tank is fine. The Ich should be gone. I'f you're that worried remove the invertebrates and plants and dip the plants in a salt solution and dose the tank with some aquarium salt then add everything back in and do a 50% water change to dilute the salt before adding other fish. But other than that you should be okay to add more fish at this point in time slowly to the tank as your tank is running on a low bioload at the moment so you'll need to increase it slowly.

I am a follower of Christ, but I struggle with secular music so what should I do?

I REEEEALLY like secular music. I have found that many of the gospel songs, though the words are inspiring....are not....well...........good musically. I don't really get into church music. I would love a gospel song with an 808.....even Kirk Franklin's music still sounds "churchy" which is okay if you like that kinda music...but I'm not into the 60s style rock and roll...or whatever period it comes from. Im 26 yrs old and i have absolutely no family or friends. hi, i recently have been informed that my place of work has had a flea infestation, the cat flea type, and they have ccalled in pest control to fumigate the area. a few members of staff have since complained that their homes have now been infested through carrying the fleas home on there uniform. i, at first thought everyone was jumping (pardon the pun) at the opportunity of a few extra pound in their wages for compensation, as our work ( a major clothing outlet) were paying out on any products or infestation control that staff have had to pay out. i wasnt really concerned myself as i had no bites on my body like some of the others, also i have no animals in the house and had no real reason to concern myself. now it seems my 4 year old daughter has two bites on the ankle, well at least i think thats what they are, she is complaining of an annoying itch shortly after the bumps arrived, she has now a further two on her tummy. hubby got one on the lower leg the following day, however, my other daughter and i seem totally untouched. anyway, the long and short of the story is, i am wondering how long these vermin can survive without an animal to live on??? i have took all the bed clothes off and boil washed them, the only carpet in the house, in my bedroom, i have hoovered. do i need to do anything else??? i havent seen one pysically in front of me and have been looking all over the bed in our room as thats were the bites seem to be occurring. will they die of if there is only a couple??

How to keep spiders away from my bedroom.?

Okei, well the situation is that I have 2 rooms, both on the third floor, and my house is too big to spray stuff all around it. So, I'm going to focus on keeping spiders away from my 2 bedrooms. My house is not infested or anything, I see around 10 or less a year, but I would like that number to be 0 or as close to 0 as possible. I am deathly afraid of them. Yes, I know most of them are harmless and important to the ecosystem but it's a severe phobia, what can I say. What I am doing is emptying a full can of bug spray in to each room every 2 weeks, but that is getting expensive at $40 a month on bug spray. And, yes, I realize it is poisonous. Is there anything else I can do? I've heard about placing chestnuts, and sprinkling lemon pledge everywhere. Should I give that a try? Discoloration on dogs legs..?

I have a dog that is now 2 years old. And we lived in an area infested with cats and fleas, we moved about a month ago to another flea free home. He is still recovering all the flea bites, he had really bad bites and was really infest with fleas but now his skin looks discolored, like black/burnt color. It is on his back side near the upper thighs and on his private parts. The skin itself is discolored, when I pass my hand to see if it is bruised or if it hurts him but it does not bug him at all. Can anyone suggest what it is and will that discoloration go away with time? I have aloe vera can I keep adding that, if that will help? When he had a lot of them he was soo itchy that he pulled his hairs out just to scratch himself. Now his hairs are growing back nicely. He is always with a happy attitude never sad or sleeping all the time likes to play a lot now that he is in our new place. I have a major flea problem someone help!!! I came back from vacation to find my house infested. I have a cat and a dog(Yorkie). Cat lives outside now I got frontline on both of them, then bombed my house 3 times in 2 weeks. It gets them out of the house but wont kill the little tiny ones in my basement. This started around 7 months ago, he was taken to the vet, who discovered a secondary issue (mass in his lung), after given barium test and xrays, Note: it took the barium almost all day to pass, when the Dr. said it should of taken only hours. He was put on steroids and wet food only and has been somewhat ok for a few months, but now again everyday for the past week, the vomiting is occuring everytime after eating. Back to the vet and a couple pounds lighter (down to 7 pds. now, he use to be 18 pd over a year ago). Back to the vet today, given a fluid admin. (I'm concerned of dehryation) and a cerenia shot. Since we got home from the vet five hours ago, he has vomited 5 times, he is hungry and can not keep anything down. Any feedback, suggestions to ask the vet, etc. would be truly appreciated.

What is this tiny bug that has infested my deck?

We've had the deck for 3 years and never saw anything like this. Millions of tiny silver/green bugs crawling all over the wood and fake wood deck. Some are the size of a head of a pin, others are a bit larger but not the size of a grain of rice. They are the shape of a sesame seed. Neighbors apartment is infested with carpenter ants now their coming into our house?

The other day my mom got a notice on her door saying that pest control will be coming in this friday to spray it also said it was mandatory. The three I am looking at are Suspend SC, Tempo SC and Cy-Kick.I currently am using Diatomaceous Earth and will continue using it. So 3 days ago we founds hundreds of little tiny red bugs in my cats dry food bowl and all around the food bowl, we wiped them up and just thought they were little bugs infesting the house. For some reason we didn't put two and two together. Then the next day we feed him, no bugs and the food was on the table. Then I wake up today. I go to feed him (the food bowl was now on the floor) and little bugs are everywhere and my cat vomited his food up today. What are these bugs? They are way too small to be ants, they look like red nats and they don't fly. I know we should buy a new bag of food in case, but I want to know what they are and where they come from?

Fleas are the easiest thing to transport, I will treat my clothing (legs, shoes with a flea product)...heavy roach infestations, I have been driving down the road before and find one had piggybacked on me, but they are usually easy enough to see and address...bed bugs, I avoid doing bed bug work, so cuts down on chance of transporting them.

When I see a bug inside, I just put a piece of paper in its path and carry it out. I can't really do that with ants though, since they're so small and there are many of them. I find that if I keep my kitchen clean, wipe the counters, and put away food, they don't come around. If you just eliminate whatever is attracting them, you don't have to decide whether to kill them or not.

I'm 20 years old, no family. I saved up all my paychecks to buy a car off of craigslist. I found a car and printed the ad JUST IN CASE...good thing since the seller took it down. The ad says 90k miles, good AC, and clean title. I checked it out, all looked good..we exchanged money for keys. My 3 and a half year old daughter has caught nits from my friends daughter. She has been scratching her head for just over a week now but I'd checked her hair asnd couldnt find anything. Last Thursday morning her head was absolutely infested with them! (its like they came out of nowhere) Her hair was practically black with bloody lice eggs!! I treated her hair and spent nearly 2 hours combing it trying to get them out. Any one else out there struggling with LPr reflux?

I have had sore thoat for the past 4 months. I've been taking Prilosec for the past three months. I started taking 1x once a day and moved to 2x a day(however i'm scared of the side effects, so i have recently have reduced it down to 1x day). I have seen my ENT four times and he has come out with no answers. My barium test showed no reflux. Does anyone out there have successful stories dealing with LPR??I have change my eating habits, but don't see any real success.

Cockroach Infestation in Mac Air?

I just bought this MacBook Air, It doesn't have a optical drive built in and am not looking to buy the apple mainly for the price ($79.99). But any whom my co-worker said that I could borrow his, he lent me a LG Multi super drive, or something. But It didn't even work, so I set aside not next to my computer but right on top of my computer bag, I was just looking at it and noticed something weird on the crew holes, so I investigated further, and it was a dead roach, It must have been old because it was dried out and flaky, so of course I began to over obsess over my brand new mac air. So then I went to check the USB cords on the LG drive itself and noticed there was something brownish in it, i moved it around with a toothpick and I'm not sure what it was but it was soft. I then immediately checked my USB ports and there was no residue or anything that made me think that there is a problem. But know I'm paranoid that there are roaches growing in my mac, and feel like any day now my computer is going to just die, can anyone help me? My cat has a bad case of diarrhea.?

Hi, me and my roommate just got a kitten ( about 6-7 months and weighs about 5 pounds) from our work friend about 2 weeks ago. The day we got him we noticed that he was infested with fleas, he also had a bad case of diarrhea, we also noticed that he sneezes quite a bit. That day we got rid of the fleas but all of the other symptoms still exist. Since then he's still has diarrhea, his stools are very slimmy, wet and has a foul smell it's also a very light brown color, he has trouble holding it in till he gets to one spot of the litter box. We are unable to take him to the vet because we have been busy with finals and work. A couple of days ago a friend bought him a Liquid De-wormer which we just gave to him and now his diarrhea has worsened to the point where he can barely hold it before he gets to the litter box. Please if anyone has any idea whats wrong with our kitten and help would be greatly appreciated.
